It's been a year since I gave away free shit? Well I guess it's time to do it again! This time in collaboration with Rugi, we are currently in the process of collecting 50 Prizes for another Xmas giveaway. Things will be similar to last year, but for those who weren't Gankers then here's a refresher.
From the 1st December until Christmas Day, EACH DAY we will be giving away 2 prizes in Guild Wars 2. With bonus prizes and the GRAND PRIZES being given away on 25th December.
Last year we entered all Gankers automatically, which is cool. But we found a fair few players went AFK over the holiday period and never came back to the game. That meant some prices are probably still sitting in player inboxes today, which isn't cool. This year instead we will be asking for a 5g entry fee it allows us to easily gauge who is playing right now. The 5g fee will go towards acquiring additional prizes for this event. Any member of Gank can enter, with our change to the guild focus all the "Guest" members are now Footman or above. They are now full members of Gank and as a result can feel free to enter this. (Please do enter this!)
The giveaway will work similar to how it did last year, we'll roughly sort the prizes by worth starting with the lowest value and ending in the highest. The giveaway will be split into stages, If you win a prize, you won't be eligible to win another prize until every other entrant has won something. For example if 20 people enter, there will be 20 unique winners and then everyone will be able to win again. However! With this years GRAND PRIZES, everyone will be eligible to win them, regardless of how much they have won before.
Speaking of GRAND PRIZES! We have 2 Ghostly Infusions to giveaway, they are worth around 300g each! Other prizes include Crafting Materials, Ascended Materials, 20 Slot Bags, Dyes, Sigils, Permanent Finishers, Poly-luminescent Refractors (the things that make you look Green or Orange), Trick or Treat Bags, Black Lion Weapon Skins, Minis, Mystic Coins and Underwater Precursors. As of writing this we have 51 Prizes banked away and we are working on more! We are also accepting donations for prizes, if you would like to donate some sort of prize to the giveaway let myself or Rugi know and we'll sort out the details. For those of you who donate prizes you will not have to pay the 5g entry fee.
I'll be posting some more details of exact prizes and what dates each prize will be given away in the coming week. Last years event was very successful and I hope you will all enjoy this years effort.
